Gala in July with 3 kids
What a great site. We will be traveling to Gala with our 3 children age's 9,7 & 7 and friends in late July. I have read alot of great information in this forum. Does anyone have information about which tours would be most appropriate for our childrens ages. Heard xcaret is nice. Any suggestion for kid friendly restaurants in PDC.

Flameeater:
We just booked at Gala for 8/12-8/21 have 3 children ages 6,9,and 18. Hope we made the right decision. Please share any info you have. I have been to Cancun about 20 times but have not been back for the past 6 years. Just grew way out of control for my liking. Decided to try Playacar since it still looks quaint. Newbie to this board searching for all info. Thanks |

Fun at Gala
Thanks for replying Coconut. I also have been searching for info for Gala and the area. This site has great information. I didn't recieve any replies from my request for info about the Gala, seems like most of the reports are from people traveling without thier children. (maybe one day
) I'll forward anything that I find interesting.

my wife and I stayed at the GAla last year and we are leaving on saturday to go back for 2 weeks.
My experience with All Inclusives...and resorts in general...is that people get out of them exactly what they put into them. I would never trust a single review of a resort. I have read some reviews and wonder where these people stayed....people complaining about the food, not enough marble in the bathroom, too much sand on the beach....it is amazing. People go down there expecting to be waited on hand and foot and forget that they are in PARADISE.....I could be sleeping in a tent on the beach and be happy. god forbid my waiter dosen't bring me my 17th drink in 5 mintues.... If you go to the gala you will have an amazing time...just as you would if you went to any resort and attempted to relax....... just my humble opinion..... |

Gala info
To Coconuts:
My family and I will be spending the week of 8/11-8/18 at the Gala! We have only one child, a 7 yr. old boy. This will be our second visit. Last summer our son wasn't thrilled about going to the kids club, because there were a lot of much younger kids. And the older kids were all around 9 or 10. We're hoping this summer he'll join in with the bigger kids so my husband and I can spend a little time alone! We loved the Gala last summer.
