Is there any where (web site, etc.) to get info and pictures of Club Viva Azteca? I went to there site but it doesn't show too much or give much info. It will be my first time down there and I am wondering what to expect.... Thanks

By far the easiest way to find theses pictures is to go to http://www.google.com and simply type in club viva azteca. Amongst many links containing photographs you will also find a direct link to viva resorts own website.

I tried that but it seems like the Viva link has pictures from far away. What I guess I really am looking for is some info of what to expect in the rooms surrounding areas, night life. Also does the pool have a swim up bar.

There isn't a swim up bar that I know of, though the bar is right next to the pool. I have not been to PDC yet, I am going from april 6th to 20th, if you are not going until after then I will be more than happy to report back for you.
I have done quite a bit of research into planning my holiday & from what I can gather the nightlife can be as low key as you like or you can go prtying in town. If you don't want to rely on the entertainment at the hotel you can get a taxi in to pdc very cheaply, just make sure you agree the price before you get in to the cab. You can also use all the facilities at club viva maya, a few hundred miles away.
As for the hotel rooms, from the pictures I have seen they look clean and comfortable & absolutely what you would expect from good 4 star accommodation. This is not a big hotel, only 234 rooms and they don't take spring break bookings so you won't have to worry about overcrowding.
I hope this helps, let me know if you want me to report back next month.

Actually I am going down on the 22nd, so that would be cutting it close. I'm sure you'll have alot to do, but if you get a chance to post an update/review that would be great.
Have fun down there.

I will try for you, but I won't land in England until early morning on the 21st so & there is a chance I might not return to my home until the 22nd so it looks like we'll be too late.
Still, I'll certainly be posting more pdc stuff on this website when I get back so I'll keep my eyes peeled for your stuff too.
Have fun yourself down there!

Viva Azteca, Playa del Carmen

How did you enjoy the Viva Azteca? Am going there for Christmas/New Year and looking for tips on what to do/where to go/things to take. We really want to go snorkelling, is this possible in the sea near the hotel or must we go to Cozumel?
In particular is there a popular place to go on Christmas & New Years' Eve or will things be closed?
All advice greatly appreciated. &:-)
