Tommy did get quite stressed by this ,i just let him stand at the camera counter looking like a mad man while i made friends with some diving instructors from the area ,and yes i did need a couple of cold ones and even had me a couple of fish tacos. at the point he bit my head off over the manual focus i was thinking i don't need a camera that bad i'll just remember what it all looks like!

Sunseekers, I have the A60 too and am very, very happy with it (2 Mio Pixel are enough for what I am doing)! For the underwater pictures I bought a Canon AS30 which is not digital though. Haven't used it yet, will do that in PDC.

Regards,
Andrea

I have a GREAT website that gives unbiased up-to-date reviews on just about all brands and models of digital cameras. I found it VERY useful when I was buying my last camera. I can not give the website on the board, but if you email me, I will be happy to pass it on.

Opps, I did not read closely enough. Denisea has already pointed to Steves Digicam. That site rocks when it come to camera reviews. I was trying to avoid posting the site name so as not to break the rules of the board.

I think you should look at the forum rules again.

Nowhere do we prohibit the mentioning of any site. It is prohibited to directly link to another site that provides goods or services that are also provided by this site.

That's not so hard to understand. You wouldn't go into you local grocery store and place announcements on their free cork bulletin board about the price of apples across the street.

We don't sell or manufacture digital cameras yet. I've been working on a design for a new 12 megapixel digital SLR conversion kit for the Pentax K-1000 line, but I've not yet finished the design. Until then, you can post all the digital camera site links, or any others per our terms of use statement/forum rules, that you care to.

I appreciate that you are trying to conform to our terms of use, but your post makes it seem like we are a bit Orwellian in nature, which we are certainly not.

I used to love carrying around a huge SLR, lot's of lenses, etc. My backpack was really heavy when hiking. Then I found myself carrying only the 28-80mm lens. Then smaller backpacks or no backpacks. I now want the camera to fit in my pocket comfortably, and still take decent pics. I'm on my second digital camera. Bought a Cannon PowerShot S400 last year, love it, great pics. Good enough for me.
