Arriving on Saturday.

Absolute Al: I'll be looking for you around town. Will be staying at Mom's until the 27th. Will treat you to dinner some night. My son arrives on the 20th. Any interest in fishing?

Are winter coffee hours at the same time/place? Get in Sunday afternoon-let me know when you are back for morning services.

Al,see you go to Valladolid quite often.Do you have a hotel or restaurants you would recommend. Would like to go there this winter for a couple of days while in Playa to check it out as well as Ek Balam.Appreciate any advise you might offer. Thanks.

Hey! You the retired fireman?
The computer tells me it has been pretty cold there for the time of year.
Lets have a Brandon Boys beer at Bad Boys when you get there.

Cool colonial city and the closest one to Playa. Hotel that the group liked was Colonial Aurora, especially rooftop. Value priced.
Depending on what you want to do and see in the surrounding area, one or two nights there.
Checked out the bar La Joyita (don't be afraid to go in)
Many good restaurants. Check out La Jefa (tell the cab driver as you will never find it and the cabbie will want to know why a gringo knows about it).
Also, Teo has a great ranch there.

I'll tell the local stores that you're back in about a week so they have enough time to order more cheap wine.

Had breakfast there with a friend the other day. Two large omelets with mushrooms and cheese, rice, beans, tortillas, a coffee, and a large platano licuado.............total was less than $10 USD.
