Docking and lowering the gang plank and getting off we realized another advantage of being last to get on, we were first to get off.

A mermaid greeting us at the bottom of a water fall.

These guys

And walking along the pathway.

Hidden creatures in the foliage, can you spot waldo? look top center.

Music

Big bird on a rock.

Another advantage of getting off first was a great seat for dinner. It was a buffet but very good

The boat that brought us.

Great service and red and white wine
wine
The trails were all lit with candles, but I neglected to get a picture after dark.

Dinner music

And the show. This is the stage, they didn't allow pictures during the show, but there was a pre-show show.

This guy roaming around the theater having fun and scaring people.

Ans lots of stuff going on in the air both before the show and after. The show is very good with dancing, a fire show, bird people on wires, and in the trees.
There are two tour times, but only one show. The first tour eats before the show and the second after I would recommend the first tour.

More entertainment on the way home, lots of fun and laughs.
This was the highlight of our trip and would do it again.

Next our sailing tour and some whales.

Sailing anyone?

The boat, 52 foot long. Normally has 20 people on a cruse but we only had twelve, and that was good twenty would have been crowded.
We were supposed to go to Los Arcos for swimming and kayaking but they took a vote and we went whale watching instead.

Some dolphins swam around us for a little while, and and we saw a lot if jumping fish, until.

Thar she blows, a mother and calf.

The only picture I got of the little one, and they never jumped so my picture kinda suck.

Ok the best pictures I got. we watched them for about an hour and then went here for lunch and a swim.

I stayed on the boat and drank beer, sometimes I outsmart the other folks.

Besides there was still some leftover food to go with the beer, nothing better than a seven course meal, a sandwich and a six pack.

The captain agreed with me.

After lunch we hoisted the sails and headed back to port. Its hard to take pictures on a sail boat and make it looking exciting, but it was a fun day

So another day shot and we went home and climbed the stairs from hell to our room

This is a great place to stay but I'm old and these stairs are steep and dangerous, especially after a few drinks.

More later, just some random pictures.

Loving your trip report, Harold!!! Looks like it was a grand time. And I agree...NO MORE STAIRS!!! Mexico makes it hard on people who have trouble with stairs.....

I have an artificial hip and we were on the 4th floor. One day according to my wife's step counter, we walked 7 1/2 miles, when we got to the bottom of the stairs I was about ready to hire someone to carry me up.

This is the end, just some pictures.

These guys flew by out front, sometimes so close if you reached out you could touch them.

Dogs are everywhere businesses even put out water dishes.

Cows can fly

Our last dinner at the Bar Oceana, I had a steak that I thought was just OK, Mama had chicken and loved it.

Mimosa at our last breakfast at a hotel restaurant that I can't remember the name. So here's to Puerto Vallarta and a safe trip home.

The flight home was a somewhat bumpy ride, and the wind was blowing hard when we got to our car.
We got home carried our luggage into the house, said hello to the dogs and the lights went out. They didn't come back on till 3:00 PM the next day, nothing like coming home to a cold dark house after 9 days in Mexico.

Until next time

I love reading your trip reports, Harold. And I've said it before but it bears repeating - your wife is beautiful! I'd love to know her secret to keeping her silver hair looking so good!

Happy holidays!

Thanks for the report Mr H , love P.V. its a awesome place. Mind if I ask how much that condo was ??? Stayed a block behind it in a small hotel and have stayed a few blocks north of the malecon past the Mcdonalds fast fries, (some good places to eat just off the malecon to the north by the way) and walked by the condo frequently and always wondered about it.

We booked 8 months in advanced and I don't know the prices for different times of year. Here is the web address were we made the reservations

Molino de Agua Vacation Rental - VRBO 565399 - 1 BR Romantic Zone Condo in Mexico, Breathtaking ...Oceanfront Corner in the Heart of Centro

Some things you need to know, the ocean is very near and the surf is a bit loud, if that would bother you might need to bring ear plugs. The water pressure is low but hot and we didn't consider it a problem, but if you like a fast running shower it might be an irritation. The unit is on the 4th floor, If you have a problem with stairs I would not rent this unit. I'm 71 and had no problem with the stairs but I'm probably in better shape than most old farts.
We enjoyed staying there and thought it was a great deal and would have no problem renting it again.

Thanks for sharing! I've been thinking lately that I haven't been to PVR for a long time now, and that I should go back for a visit.

Your condo looks awesome...great location!

I noticed when I was there, that the mermaid has certain areas that are...um...somewhat free of tarnish and even polished.

Mama and I are heading back to Puerto Vallarta the first week in December again this year, but were staying at an AI this time. I definitely will miss staying in town but its not far, and we like laying around the pool drinkin and eating. The only thing we plan to do is visit town and check out the market set up in the town square on Saturdays have lunch and wander town.. Everything else is do what we feel like wen ever where ever.
I will post a report
