Young kids in Sacbe?

Hi,

My wife and I are looking for communities to visit and possibly to settle in. We have kids age 1 and 4 years. We are looking for other young kids that ours can play with. Are there any in Sacbe?

Thanks!

Ryan

Community with kids..

Hi Maria,

We haven't found anything yet, but we are looking. Actually, we are now looking out of the area. We've limited our search down to all of Latin America! Even contemplating moving into small indigenous villages!

We'd create our own community, but our kids need other kids right now. If we find something near Playa, I'll let you know.

Thanks!

Ryan

Have you considered Paamul? We have a LOT of families with younger children living here these days. Some of the older ones are in this video.

Oh wow! Thank Susie! I didn't know about Paamul. Is there any way we can get a tour? Are there any rentals available?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, unless things have changed, rentals are not allowed.
But buying is relatively cheap.

Good luck

Yeah in this early age its important that the children can share their childhood with other kids. Here in the City of Cancun, there are so many families with young kids. But the playgrounds always empty, everybody stayes at home and people donīt share life but prefer to stay alone instead.
I wish you good luck, and let me know when you found something. In some time more, the way to south america will also be ours....
Hope hearing from you, greetings to your family.

Well, I can tell you it's not that way in Paamul. With our excellent security and neighbors who keep an eye on everything and everyone, the neighbor kids pretty much have the run of the place, running, and biking and playing everywhere! They're fun to have around and know all the adults and each other. It's like having a couple hundred babysitters all over the community!

didn't I read recently on this forum that someone opened a giant nightclub right next to Sacbe and the noise is ridiculous? You might want to do a search on that...

There was a New Year's Day event there.
Not really a nightclub.
Just a venue that is sporadically used.

Hey Susie! Oh this sounds great if everyone is so familiar with each other. Do they have kind of kindergarden there for the Young Kids? My daughter will be 3 soon.

No, no established child care or schooling here. Lots of families home school, though others go to schools in the area. Since my children are adults, though, I am not sure what any of those are.
