Looks like you got ripped off. From the chart on the other thread, wouldn't this be Zona 1 to Zona 2 (30 pesos?)

Ugh....

25 pesos
Calle 32 is in Zone 1
Despite what everyone says, the taxi syndicate admits that the queues should not charge more. It's a choice the drivers make to sit there and wait for a fare.

I've had more trouble since the rates were raised. They want even more.
Jerks.

Makes me even happier we have not had to take a taxi here yet. I'm sure that time will come, but we're close enough to Mega, DAC, and AKI that we're able to schlep our groceries back on foot. We shop more often and buy less each time than we do in the US.

My wife and I are in playa now, as long as the quoted rate is not completely off the chart we go with it. Wipe your butt with the chart, that's about all its good for

Yes. Really.
If you go to a store and are overcharged $3 for any single item, would you just pass it off? I mean, it's only $3.

There is a difference between vacation life and non-vacation life.

Of course it does.
You are saying it's ok to be overcharged.
No big deal.

So true ! They get those rates because they can (because the tourist pay it). But as a handicapped person i may need 10 taxi's a day !
Even at half its 15us+ a day.

Call it $10 x 30 = $300 a month for me.

Please don't encourage these robbers.
