It is BAD BAD BAD at 4th. I held my nose standing on the corner of 4th and La Quinta.

If the Peso keeps dropping and the sargassum keeps rising I might soon be able to afford a beach front condo.

You are absolutely right. From my perspective - sitting in northern Ontario with temperatures into the -20 degC from October to March, or putting with sargassum is a no brainer.... lol

Just saw photos of Akumal beach yesterday and the amount of sargassum was unbelievable.
Also, saw a truck early this morning with at least 20 Solidaridad workers heading towards Mamitas/Kool beach areas, presumably to clean sargassum.

South Akumal had their entire beach completely cleaned with HOA funds last week, on Saturday it was completely engulfed again.

https://www.locogringo.com/akumal-beach-webcam I'm watching the cam now and I can see the HOA funds at work. It looks like about 10 guys working to clear this small area.

Offshore I highly doubt it. Not unless you could give them some idea on how to do it.

I hear ya Al. I wish I could. I sense this could be a never ending project for the workers.... just as they get a portion of the beach clean, it begins to fill up again with sargassum. Talk about a frustrating day at the office that must be.

I just read that recently workers removed 8,400 tons of sargassum from the beaches in Galveston, TX.............IN ONE DAY
