I've heard that some places in playa have fiber optic but I asked telmex for a map and they said they didn't have one.
I went to Izzi and they said they couldn't provide broadband to where I am in playacar fase 2....
We were at a home in Playacar fase 2 this morning and the people next door were getting Izzi installed. So maybe Telmex is the only option just in certain parts of fase 2?

My wife was at IZZI 3 weeks ago asking if they service our part of playacar case 2 (Returno Akab). They're told her they don't and that telmex was our only option. We're in pretty desperate need of a decent Internet connection so I can connect to the office if need arises while I'm there. Telmex cancelled our installation after 2 weeks as their boxes are full with no ETA.

You have no internet at all in Playacar?
That sucks.
I figured you rich folks would be at the top of the list

So I'm not sure what changed but there seem to be free lines in Playacar now. I just got hooked up yesterday at a screaming 1 megabit service My neighbour below me at least has 5 megabit Perhaps when I bump into a local Telmex guy I can convince him to try at least dialing it up to 5 megabit. The guy yesterday was running late and just wanted to get my connection online and leave as he's a third party contractor probably on piece work. So if you haven't been to Telmex lately it's worth a try again. I ordered it and had it installed within a week.

So...we had pretty good internet in Playacar Faso 2...for awhile. A storm took out our modem and the replacement modem is sketchy. We used to be able to stream movies on multiple tv's with no problem. Now we can barely get a stable signal to get online.

Apparantly, TelMex is waiting on new modems since ours was not the only one that got fried. Anyone else going through the same?

Just to follow up, for what it's worth: we have Izzi up and running now, so it definitely is available in some parts of Playacar Fase II. Got a promotion for 30 and speed tests show the set-up is delivering 27-28, with upload just around 2 (don't remember what they claimed that would be). They were certainly a lot faster than Telmex, getting it done in a couple of days as opposed to the couple of weeks Telmex had told us it would take. But of course time will tell how good it ends up being.
