I just received this link from a good friend. It's a must, almost as fun as Bumper's trip reports (maybe they are related someway).

I was made aware of this last week...

I saw the web page when it had 1 million...then 2 then 6 then 9 and now 12 million hits....3 million since the auction ended...

Oh...the dress was once over $600,000 but look at the bid retractions...

Hope this guy ends up alright...

Thanks for the chuckles. I hurt myself. This guy is great!! I'm humbled and in awe. I've got to find out where he is so I can go bow down at his feet. As for being off topic, that's what this looney bin is all about. As a good friend, who frequents this neighbourhood, has been known to say

gotta love the guy though, reminds me of my first fiancee.... gave me the ring back so I sold it for $100 .... and then went out drinking Tequila

If he gets back the original amount paid would be ok. But now with web-wide exposure I hope he gets luckier.

When I wrote "completely off-topic" I lied. Posts in this area are off-topic because they aren't directly PdC related but has something in common: travel tips, camera chossing, books, etc. This topic fits nicely here just because it remembers me of Bumper's writing style. If it were not for the tatoos on the guys arms and the fact that he got divorced I would have sworn it was Bumper himself.

I did get a couple of hennas during our recent trip, but I think I left them on some sheets in our condo. As far as the possibility of divorce goes, Mrs B has already advised me that's never going to happen. She says there's just WAY too many forms to fill out, and the thought of paying for some lawyer's BMW makes her nauseous. She tells me that when it finally gets to the point where she can't take it anymore, she'll just croak me and plant me in the flower beds. Should be good for the tulips. We're coming up to round 31 in September.

Actually one of the happier nites in my life... after weeks of pleading "Take my fiancee....pleeeeeze" , it finally worked.... scary thing is the warrants that prevented her return to Texas expired 5 years ago

Boy, are you ever lucky, Scott. I never knew a girl with warrants. A bunch with tattoos, some with body piercings, lots with scars, a few with brands, a couple with wooden legs, but never one with warrants. Guess I just don't get out enough.
