We stayed there 3 times last year, Loved it. Breakfast was great. Usually ate lunch by the pool. But we always ate dinner in town. There are so many great places to eat. Which is a big part of why we keep going back. The staff at the resort is awesome, as the beach!

This is late, but someone else may read it and it could help. The beach was awesome there. We did not have air conditioning in the room for the first few days then they moved us to another room and it was good. We did not mind the food at the buffet but did not like eating in the heat at all the meals including the dinner and the Mexican restaurant that was where the buffet was in the day time. The Mexican restaurant was very good.

We have only been to Cancun once and Playa once. Both times the beds were very hard. The room was cleaned and a couple of tips kept our favorite drinks in the refrigerator in the room.

Overall the staff was friendly and they went out of their way to help when asked.

Tips seemed to go a long way with the staff.

We probably would not do this one again, but it did the trick on this vacation.

Once again the beach was the main draw here. I have never seen one quite like this. Watching the ships come and go from Cozumel and trying to guess which ones they were was fun.

Hope this helps someone!

Larry

We just booked 2 more trips there this year. It's not for everyone, but we love it. We get it for cheaper than most non AI's, so we can eat breakfast, maybe lunch, and drink all day there and afford to go out to dinner ever night. Awesome beach and staff. We really love the smaller size.

well i did stay there in january and on the whole liked the place, the room was basic but ok,it had everything that was needed (only 2 english tv channels, surely there are more avaliable)
the beach was fantastic as was the main pool area, the grounds were just one huge well maintained garden.
food, well i really liked breakfast everyday (bloody marys avaliable to mix yourself)lunch buffet down by the pool was also good, also pizza place and the burger shack were ok as well.
what i did not like was the dinner buffet,it was pretty grim most of the time, cheap ingredients mostly stewed, the desserts were ok though, after a couple of nights i just went downtown to sample really good stuff in my favourite restaurants (rolandis, carboncitos, amongst others).
drinks were all fine (only dos equis or tecate beer though) i used to tip the barmen $5 at the start of every session and got anything i wanted not just the cheap local spirits.

all in all would i go back ? well probably yes, although next january i think i am staying downtown in a small hotel, non AI.
