I think animals somehow sense alot more than we hive them credit for. One of my old college buds in Dallas has a cat named Nigel that we found in a dumpster in 1985... well last year , Nige got real sick , lost alot of wieght and Brian was sure he was gonna die within a few hours... so he figured he'd take him in and have Nige put to sleep, but first, he wanted Nige to at least roam the backyard ONE MORE TIME... opened the door, took Nige outside, set him down and Nige bolted across the backyard, over the 6 foot wooden fence and was gone !!! he came back later that nite for food and has been doing fine since.... I believe his 20th birthday will be this coming March !!!
