I honestly don't know how you keep it secret though. Certainly someone will find out!
Somebody might guess when I hire a private security force

Someone in a small city near my hometown won a few years back and hired an attorney to represent them to the lottery commission and receive the check made out to... a corporation, maybe? Or some difficult to identify entity. I don't think it was ever public information. I agree, it would be hard to conceal, but I would do my best.

I would just buy a condo on Central Park West in NYC. I would be considered the poor neighbor in that hood so no one would bother me. Hide in plain sight.

I think I read that there are only 6 states where you can remain anonymous, mine is not one of them.

A girl that worked for me back in 1988 won 11 million in the New York Lottery. She set up a business through our company attorney to claim the prize. The dumb ass ignored all the advice given to her, opened up a fancy Italian restaurant in the Bronx (no restaurant experience and a fancy restaurant in a very blue collar neighborhood) and was bankrupt within 2 years. She is now a realtor and works for us part time on occasion. I would be sad for her but she refused all advice.

HERE is the story about the Ohio winner. I've been in that bowling alley where the ticket was sold and seen their regular clientele and it's a bit mind boggling. But someone was pretty smart, I'd say.

I bought $10 worth and am pretty sure I will be the winner. I already have some of it spent (in my mind).

I'm going to wait until it goes over $1B, I think my chances will be better then.

I like your strategy, wait until it is enough to retire on!

It is unimaginable that, with all those tickets sold, no one got it. Even more unimaginable is the current $1.3 BILLION!
