Departure Tax?

I have just had a message from my travel agents telling me that the
departure tax has gone up to $1,200 pesos per person, most travel
agents include this in the booking fees etc. sadly not ours.
It was quite an eye opener. I just hope it doesn't go up anymore.
Has anybody else had this news?

Thumbs up Perfect vacation

We have just returned from the Iberostar Tucan in Playacar, and we
had a great time! the hotel was just as good as last time we were there
and the beach was fantastic! no sargassum or anything horrible just
lovely sunshine at least most of the time. It thundered a few times
but I love to watch it as long as it passes over quickly! lol.
but the Tucan did not disappoint us at all, the shows were very
professional a big change from last time we were there.
but anybody going there will not be disappointed.
My daughters wedding went off perfectly, and we enjoyed our Ruby
wedding celebration as well. maybe one day we will go back.
bearing in mind I am nearly 80 years old now and can't plan too far ahead
lol.

Hi Shammy! I haven't had a bad trip there anytime I love the place!
my problem is the long journey to get there......nine and a half hours
there and eight and a half back.........but worth it in the end
