Royal Playa Construction/Room Help

Good afternoon,

I am going to the Royal Playa next Friday with my boyfriend. I've been perusing this site and it has so much helpful information. We booked an oceanview room and wanted to pre-request a room. I really liked the trip report by someone who stayed in room 901. I was wondering though, is there still construction by that building? I've used this map which was posted on this site (again thank you!) and also was interested in seeing if anyone had stayed in the rooms 915-926 and what kind of view you had there? Also rooms 370 - 386, What was the view like? Did you have noise from the main pool in the back of you?

Any other Ocean View Jr Suite reco's would be MUY appreciated! We are going for a couples getaway/my birthday and the main focus is relaxation and romance. Not really interested in the Coba building or anything around the noisy pool. Thinking 901 would be in a quiet spot(and near the coffee shop, I'm a coffe/tea freak) with a full on view of oceanview - hammock on balcony is a huge plus for me.

Thank you again, and please pardon if any of these questions have been answered already. I did do a search first and I am new - just signed up.

The construction issues for the north side of the hotel was from the building of the Grand Hyatt, which is immediately next door to the Royal. That's not any issue any more. But the 915-926 rooms would back right up to that building, which towers over the Royal. While the balcony faces the interior of the grounds, the front door to your room is almost within an arm's length of the Hyatt. You would eliminate this with the 300 rooms, but only 379 through 386 are ocean view. Really shouldn't have pool noise here, there is another building between those rooms and the main pool and your balcony view would be facing north (the pool is south). 901 will overlook the scuba pool and it would be a distant ocean view as it's really set back from the beach.
