Fatjoe thanks for response. When was the last time you did? Also when did they even start it? I have never heard of this airline ever. The flight leaves cancun at 610pm and arrives in ny at 11pm daily and there is one daily from ny to cancun as well.

JFK-CUN with Interjet is a brand new route for them, just started service on 9/1. They have been around since 2005, it's not a new airline.

They're considered a low cost carrier, a la Aeromexico, Spirit, Jet Blue, Southwest, Frontier, etc. They have no interline agreement with any other airline. But all in all, they're fine, I wouldn't hesitate to fly them, especially if the fares are lower.

Interjet just started flying from Toronto, Montreal & Vancouver to Mexico. Any Canadians had a chance to fly with them yet ? Any feedback ? They are much cheaper than anyone else.

I fly Interjet domestically. Just like any other airline. Planes takes off, plane lands. I do like that some of the planes have nose cameras that show you landing and takeoff.

I talked to a couple of Canadians at the airport last week and they were impressed with Interjet.

I have flown with Interjet domestically a hand full of times and never a problem.
Also, have flown Volaris domestically about a dozen times, and again, never a problem.
Actually, I enjoy flying with both of these airlines.
Have had more problems flying Jet Blue to the States (delays, etc.).
Flying United to the States this week and have not flown with them for years.
Will be interesting to compare Volaris and Interjet to United and Jet Blue.

AL "I love Interjet and have flown on their Sukhol Superjet 100 (Russian built )"

I am no friend of Interjet!

We got caught up in the Dec, 2016 grounding of their Sukhol Superjet 100. I turned into the worst airline experience I have ever had. A 2:30am email from Interjet indicated the flight from San Jose, CR to Mexico City was "ON TIME". Arriving at the check in at 3:30am we were told that the flight was cancelled and we were on our own. We were told that we might be able to get on a Interjet plane 36 hours out or try to get on the Aromexico flight that was now checking in. Interjet would reimburse us for the Aeromexico flight. Running through the CR airport we just barely managed to get on the Aeromexico flight. We were exhausted but at least on our way. However Interjet also cancelled our connecting flight so we were now stranded in Mexico City. By this time the Interjet terminal was packed with stranded travellers and the courtesy desks were backlogged and not very courteous.

Shammy, no interline agreement meant we were stuck and at Interjet's mercy. No food vouchers or offer of a hotel stay either. Finally we were placed on a much later Interjet flight, arriving at our destination very much later than scheduled. But at least we made it through the mess. Also it took Interjet 4 months to reimburse the cost of the Aeromexico flight.

In my opinion if a competitors fare is close to Interjet then I would pick the competitor.

And Al, It was the Russian Sukhol jet crashing into the Mediterianian that created the grounding of the superjet.

Will be riding WestJet to MX in 62 days!!!!

WestJets fleet:
Aircraft.........................Number........ .Age
Boeing 737 (Next Gen)......115..............9 years

Boeing 767.......................4............25.2 years

I would consider staying off those 767's

At least Interjet has a much newer fleet of planes

See you in a few months Mur. Say HOLA to Heather.

The crop is "in the bin". Fall fertilizer is going on now and should have all field work done by the end of the week. Then just cleanup and we are off to Cuba for a week. After that Barbados for a month and Playa for the rest of the winter.

Heather says HOLA! back. She is limping around with a fractured leg (long, long story) . Dr. says she needs to wear a brace for 5 months while it heals properly.

See ya in Playa!
