waterproof/underwater case for iPhone

I have been told that a Lifeproof case for my iPhone 5c is waterproof and can be used for snorkeling. That scares me.. Anybody know if this, or any other case, is really that waterproof?

I agree with the guy saying buy an underwater cam. Never mind the water your phone probably has lots of stuff on you don't want to lose.

I thought I was good too last year until "Poof" my underwater camera was gone.

I have new one with wrist strap.

I have the Lifeproof waterproof case for my 6s+. I have tested it, and it is waterproof...but I am far too attached to my phone to really use it underwater. I just bought a GoPro recently and look forward to making use of that in 3 days!

Absolutely. Aside from risking your iPhone, an iPhone does not even come close to how fantastic a GoPro is, in or out of water.

You guys are so right. I may go ahead and get the llfeproof case just to keep it safe at the beach, etc., but I would probably be a fool to risk losing my phone in the water. Not sure I can spring for a GoPro, but I see what all is out there. Thanks for the advice!

I meant an iPhone camera does not compare with a GoPro....I did not mean using the actual phone as a phone underwater. You crack me up Rubio,

I have a Go Pro Hero and the one issue I have is no viewfinder so you are just in hope you have the camera pointed right. I use the burst action and can get some good photos after editing. Going to use it for first time diving in ten days. Will post if any turn out ok. Video is also good but the burst is best for picking individual shots.

GoPro is where it's at. Amazon and others have cheaper knockoffs that are decent as well.

Love you bro, but a flip phone is not normal. I thought i was the last to have one about 3 years ago. DOn't use many of the features..but damn, it's much easier to text with.

My GoPro has a viewfinder, but you can set up the viewfinder and shutter through the GoPro app.
