Accommodation Help

Just booked a last minute cheap flight down to CUN first week Dec.
Had booked Club Yebo after reading recommendations here but cancelled booking after concerns about beach erosion near there.
It was bad in Aug when I was there and I gather it is even worse now.
Any recommendations for somewhere to stay?
I'd like to have easy access to good part of beach. I really liked the idea of the Tommy Bahama beach chairs that came along with Club Yebo rental but the walk seems too far.
On my list of possibilities are Casa Melissa, Playa Maya, Posada Sian Kaan, Hotel Kinbe, Playa Palms, and Aldea Thai.

Many thanks
The search is becoming exhausting to me!

Club yebo is straight up the road from Playa Palms, so that is the same part of the beach.
Here is the webcam from next door to Playa Palms at El Taj.

We have stayed at Posada Sian K'aan. It is just across the way from Wah Wah and convenient to the beach. Our room was small, but nice and clean. Breakfast was included.

I prefer Yebo and a short walk to nicer beach area. We are staying at Yebo the first few days of Decembers

Yebo

Hi, To bad you cancelled Yebo. It is so close to all amenities.Gym, restaurants,
shopping etc. For the beach we just walk South towards the ferry dock and
find a spot . Only 5 minutes from Yebo. We are going for 2 months stay at Yebo again this year starting Dec 28th. Love it there !!

Now I'm more confused than ever
I really really want to be near good beach.
It makes me so nervous to book something only to arrive and find terrible beach area.
The last time I was down in August I was not impressed at all. The best part of beach I found was in front of RPDC and down by Wah Wah.
I know things change all the time so I'm just taking a chance I guess.
I could always book a night or two and if it's no bueno then head over to Holbox.

I haven't stayed at Yebo, but I've stayed near there. Only a short walk south to a wide beach.

Casa Melissa is practically on the beach at Wah Wah...just a tiny bit south and about a half black off the sand. And Wah Wah does have a really fantastic beach, almost year round.

We are staying there for the first time, on our first night in town next week.

Look at "Beach Thursday" on this forum and you will see current conditions at Playa Maya. To me it sounds like what you are looking for, we will be there on 11/26...........................
