Last week in Playa

We really scaled back. We seemed to be on a taco craze which ain't all that bad.

Manne's...... Prime rib/meat loaf
La Brocheta....... chicken
Carnitas Testerita...... kastacan
Don Sirloin......tacos 4 times
El Fogon......various meats
Cheesters...... McIntosh pasta
Don Chendo...... pizza
Wah Wah...... lunch(s)
Food carts....... tacos/churros/etc 2 times
La cueva del chango........ breakfast
la vagabunda........ breakfast.
Pizza Renzo.....multiple late night times. (our favorite of the pizza slice places)
Pasta and Polpetta......breakfast.
La Buena Vida......seafood 3 times (Akumal)
Turtle Bay.....breakfast (Akumal)

Had planned on breakfast or lunch at Lido, but never got over there. Hard to get to with no beach from the north. Has to be hurting business some. We just didn't feel like going anywhere fancy. Like I said, had a taco fetish this trip, and thats always a good thing, but no Papa Charlies, Romeo, Plank, Oh Lala, Kachapa Factory, Babes, Axiote, or any of the few new ones I had down to hit.

Guess we will need to come back. Also, never got my ass down the block to Starbucks to meet Al. I'm terrible.

Fiesta Inn was well worth $52 per night. Tried putting us in a room with a double bed and smelly bathroom. We would have nothing of it. Quickly put us in a king room with balcony over 10th. Great bed, storage around bathroom area was a plus, and furniture in room a plus. Rooftop 2 pools, big bar, and lots of beds and chairs. Nice gym on rooftop as well. Very nice. Overall the hotel seems a little cold...eveything is painted white, but the people were great as usual. Wonderful location for us at 10th and 26th. Two thumbs up!

It was good to meet you and Ms. Jackjackattack!!

We didn't eat anywhere fancy, but we did split a surf and turf on Isla Mujeres that was pretty good.

Went to La Brocherie for the first time - will go back if/when we get back to Playa. Starting to have an island fetish - Mujeres and Holbox

Great to meet you and kathy(?) Ron. Enjoyed our chat at Wah Wah, and dinner at Chendo. Tried to get to Playa Maya on Friday but just didn't work out as we thought we were late to the jazz festival. In retrospect, we could have come by your party for two hours and we would have been right on time after 11pm. Oh well.

When we head to Merida, we will give you guys a shout for sure!
