I just got home from a session with my my trainer - oh how much do I hate her

(oh how much do I love her!

). The things she has you do on the damn stability ball and bosu! Argh! Those I DO hate! We've modified the weight training so that I don't have to use my thumb, doing movements that either exclude it, and if that's not possible, I put the weight between my pointer and middle fingers and lift(go ahead - try THAT and see how mucked up it feels!

). Problem is that when holding a weight in a postion that is not "normal", you can't lift anything too heavy without doing damage to the other two fingers - so no 15-20 pounds, I can only do 10 max for most all exercises. Not discouraged actually as I could be taking all this time off and doing nothing while my thumb heals - but we all know that doing
something is better than nothing, right?

Better news is while only a few pounds have come off recently, I dropped another pants size, one I haven't been since I was in jr. high!

That was a big *OMG thud* moment for me.
