How is the Sargassum Right Now? 4 26 17

Leaving for Cancun/Tulum/Mahahual in a week. Been watching the beach cams for sargassum, and today Akumal looks pretty nasty. Mahahual not as bad.

Anybody down there now? 4/26/2017...

Lots of seaweed today but I'm sure it will disappear soon.

we were in playa last week - downtown beach clubsn really sad on easter and the day after, stinky too especially up near 38th - then to tulum midweek and not as bad but still there - water near shore a little murky. spent last 5 days in playacar and none- water was so clear.. guess it changes day to day. No seaweed at all in Cozumel as expected... Same issue up near puerto morelos and mayakoba as seen in pics. one day at mamitas it took them most of the day to clean it up and bury it. better system in tulum they had a truck and hauled it away

It's bad today. It's been windy so that's not surprising.

We were downtown last night and the seaweed was horrible on the southern end of 5th. Tons of waves though and winds bringing it in so it could be temporary since most of the season it's been beautiful.
