"Supersize me!" Movie review

Just saw this movie over the weekend, it was great! A documentary (with a little dark comedy, too) about a man who decides to eat nothing but McDonalds for 30 days, just to see what happens. We took our 12 year old with us to see it, which turned out to be a good thing. I think the media has portrated this movie as "blaming" McDonalds for our growing obesity problem, but I didn't get that from the movie. They do bash McDonalds for marketing their product heavily to children, but I think it just was shining a spotlight on our overall problem showing McDonalds as only a part of it. Interviews with someone from the American Grocery Association, one of the heirs of the Baskin/Robins chain, lots of information about our kid's school lunches, how little we exercise, etc. As someone who has been fighting a weight problem, and hoping my child doesn't have the same problem, I found it to be a good movie for us to see together. I would love to see them edit this film a little and show it to kids as part of their health class! But then I suppose the companies who sponsor the school pop machines and junk food lunches would have a fit. Anyways, a good movie.

heard an interview on the radio with this guy yesterday...he spent almost $800.00 and gained 24 lbs. his cholesterol went 65 points in 30 days!!!!! WOW....pretty eye opening isnt it?

Name of the movie is "Supersize me!". It won some awards at Sundance film festival.

that's why i don't eat at places like that or drink Cokes !
