Not new but it's been while

I started posting here back in '05 (I cannot believe it was that long ago) when I visited the first time. I will be making a return trip around July 1 and am quite excited to return. This time around I will be spending a week in the area then driving to Merida to spend a few nights. One initial question I have is is it safe driving in the countryside now. When we were there in the past we drove out and stayed in Vayadolid and Izamal and had no issues whatsoever but things in general were better then. We also now will be having 2 kids in tow, one bing our 11 year old daughter and the other being my sister inlaw's sixteen year old boy. Anyway I look forward to my trip either way and I will be going to Merida regardless.

Hi,
Driving to Valladolid is a lot faster now on the new tow road. Your children will enjoy all the new things in town to visit.
There is a new Park called Xenses, Its a lot of fun. There is an Aquarium downtown, an Escape room, a 3 D Paint museum, and tons of new restaurants to try.

Enjoy your stay and drive safe
