Which of the Mega ATM's did you use? I have been using the Banamex one at Mega for years without any problems.

Obviously use a bank atm. Three blocks east of Mega and two blocks south of Scotiabank at Ave 10 and 14 (bis) are Intercam and CIbanco, we use their atm’s (rarely a line) and we prefer Intercam for our other banking needs.

To avoid ALL atm and bank fees incurred from atm use we now have a Charles Schwabb account. The atm fees are deducted from our statement, very nice!

15.09 is Canadian.
I just saw (tonight) cambios on AV. 5 giving up to an exchange rate of 18 for USD.
ATM's would depend somewhat on what the ATM machine charges and what your bank charges in the way fees and surcharges I guess.

Always.

Never used a cambio yet, and I can't imagine doing so.

in 17 years, i have never used one,,,,generally as i wrote in the past, the best rates are atm, if you have a bank that doesnt charge fees, best to just make withdrawls,,,if the xe rate was 16, cdn, then your going to get around 15.6, its generally around .4 less at the atms,,,,,all the other ways your going to get robbed, for cdn best is scotiabank
generally we watch the xe rate very closely and the mornings are generally the highest rates for the day
