Every report had it as an ADO (Autobuses de Oriente) bus.

I think that you are getting it wrong. It was a first class ADO bus on which the passengers were robbed. As Babaloo wrote above, ADO stands for Autobuses de Oriente.
Also, ADO is usually aggressive when it goes to tracking down the perpetrators of these type robberies.

I am not there at the moment, so I will take your word for it, but my comment about the 2nd class bus robberies is a fact as well

Looking at the photos of the buses' interior also, I doubt that it was a second class Oriente bus (also owned by ADO).
