Do you have a link to your source offering evidence that the exact weapons transferred in the fast and furious debacle were the weapons that killed those kids and the 19 in the drug rehab center? Perhaps an identification of the bullets removed from the deceased cross verified with the ballistics of the confiscated weapons.

I mean it's not like the cartels didn't have access to weapons before Obama was elected.

Accomplice to murder; No, that's not creepy at all.

Allowing Los Zetas to sell drugs in the US so as to not piss off Iran and Hezbollah. Nah, no creepy there either.
Maybe not creepy - but it cost lives !

(which is worse than creepy right ?)

Fast and Furious Scandal: New Details Emerge on How the U.S. Government Armed Mexican Drug Cartels - ABC News

Quote:
On January 30, 2010, a commando of at least 20 hit men parked themselves outside a birthday party of high school and college students in Villas de Salvarcar, Ciudad Juarez. Near midnight, the assassins, later identified as hired guns for the Mexican cartel La Linea, broke into a one-story house and opened fire on a gathering of nearly 60 teenagers. Outside, lookouts gunned down a screaming neighbor and several students who had managed to escape. Fourteen young men and women were killed, and 12 more were wounded before the hit men finally fled.

Indirectly, the United States government played a role in the massacre by supplying some of the firearms used by the cartel murderers. Three of the high caliber weapons fired that night in Villas de Salvarcar were linked to a gun tracing operation run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), according to a Mexican army document obtained exclusively by Univision News.
Quote:
As part of Operation Fast and Furious, ATF allowed 1,961 guns to "walk" out of the U.S. in an effort to identify the high profile cartel leaders who received them. The agency eventually lost track of the weapons, and they often ended up in the hands of Mexican hit men , including those who ordered and carried out the attack on Salvarcar and El Aliviane, a rehabilitation center in Ciudad Juarez where 18 young men were killed on September 2, 2009.
The article is mistaken as to the reason the guns we allowed to walk. It has been determined that the US government was pressuring the Mexican government to pick one cartel to take charge so as to end the war between the cartels. Like we do with picking sides in other wars, the government chose the Sinaloa cartel and decided to send weapons their way.

White voters are moving to the South — and making it more Democratic

Quote:
In a new article, political scientists Sunshine Hillygus, Seth McKee, and McKenzie Young show that whites who have moved to the South are more likely to be Democratic than lifelong Southerners.

They draw this conclusion by looking at data going back to the 1970s from the American National Election Studies survey. Since 1968, the survey has asked respondents where they grew up. This allowed Hillygus and her colleagues to categorize white residents of Southern states as “natives” (people who grew up in the region) and “migrants” (people who grew up elsewhere). It’s important to note that their analysis focuses only on whites, so it cannot speak to the region’s growing diversity.

This could propel Romney if he wants to make another run. First Senator. Then for President again.

Please, please , pretty please Michelle Bachmann. Please run for the Al Franken seat. I can’t think of anything that would be more entertaining politically.

So, you asked for a source and I gave you one (of many) and then you go silent? Not too cool.

House Foreign Affairs chairman to retire | TheHill

Quote:
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-Calif.) announced Monday he will retire at the end of the year.

Royce is now the eighth House panel chairman to opt against seeking reelection in 2018.

He would have potentially faced a tough path to reelection given that his district has become more competitive. Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton won it by about 9 points in 2016 even as Royce, who has served in the House since 1993, won reelection by 14 points.
Quote:
The nonpartisan Cook Political Report adjusted its prognostication for Royce’s district from “Lean Republican” to “Lean Democratic” after his retirement announcement.

@Redistrict

This is two-column jump worthy: Rep. Ed Royce (R) retirement moves #CA39 from Lean Republican to Lean Democratic at @CookPolitical. https://twitter.com/HouseForeign/sta...87902827491329
