Maine voters approve Medicaid expansion | TheHill

Quote:
Support for the ballot measure was up by more than 18 points with 64 percent of precincts reporting around 10 p.m. when it was called by NBC affiliate WCSH and The Associated Press.
Quote:
Gov. Paul LePage (R) vetoed five bills passed by the state’s legislature, arguing that it would be disastrous for the state’s economy.

About 80,000 Maine residents living below 133 percent of the federal poverty line will now be eligible for the state’s Medicaid program, according to the state.

Ruh-roh. I'm surprised at these election results. Dems approval ratings are abysmally low and getting lower. Only 37% of Americans have a favorable opinion of Democrats, down from 44% in March of this year. This, in spite of having a lapdog media attacking Trump and parroting the Dems narrative 24/7.

Dang 37%, that's as low as Trump's approval rating in the latest polls.

And the Republicans? 30% favorable opinion.
Might explain the wins, eh?

Wow...you'd think the Republicans would have learned not to trust polls during an election! Yes, that's sarcasm.

Dems pick up three seats in Georgia state legislature | TheHill

Time to go all in against that wacky Alabaman, Judge Moore

Quote:
Democrats picked up three legislative seats on Tuesday in special elections in Georgia.

Deborah Gonzales won a race to represent the Athens area in the state House of Representatives, taking a seat previously held by a Republican, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.

Jonathan Wallace won in another race in the Athens area to replace Republican Chuck Williams in the House.

In the Atlanta area, Democrats Jaha Howard and Jen Jordan came in at the top of their race and will face off in a December run-off election to replace Republican Sen. Hunter Hill.

Democrats roared back on Tuesday after suffering many defeats in the past year.

They claimed big victories in races up and down the ballot and across the country.

I would point out that most of the victors did not belong to the ultra progressive wing of the Democratic party, that wing that seems to follow a non-Democratic senator from the state of Vermont.

Judge Moore is going to win big; then he is going to ride his horse up Capitol Hill with his pistol in his vest pocket and rope and brand him some limousine liberals and Country Club Republicans.

In that case, he will either be arrested or sent to a psychiatric facility

It is still time for national Democrats to invest in the campaign against him

They will not bother. Moore is the perfect candidate for Alabama right now. His type has always been the perfect candidate for Alabama.

Keith X. Ellison is not the perfect congressman for MN, far from it. But he is the perfect congressman for you, you old sourpuss.

This is exactly why I said Moore was perfect for Alabama. I did not need you to back me up on it, but thanks for doing so.
