In typical local fashion, the police showed up today with a court order and required the tennants of Panchos and Frida Bar (including all the guests of the hotel) to get out and move everything out of there. I'm sure we'll get all the details over the next few days (it wouldn't take so long if Java Joe's was open for the morning gossip, in an ironic related earlier-than-anticipated-closure for them as well). Basically, everything had to be removed from the premises. Fifth was littered with refrigerators, tables, beds and everything else you can imagine.
