Damn! Barbuda destroyed. Over 90% of all dwellings damaged. It is virtually uninhabitable. Just awful

My tenants stuck it out during Matthew last year, but they are making preparations to leave if necessary this time. Not sure they will, but at least they will be prepared to do so. The van is loaded up and ready to go.

Pics coming in from Irma - truly very sad and scary for those in the path.

Last night a Somali Facebook friend posted that the name Irma won't scare anyone, so they should name storms after Muslims. Name the storm Mohammed and everyone would evacuate and Trump would ban it.

Sounds like $8 billion for Hurricane Harvey relief will go through. Next up will be Hurricane Irma relief. Sounds like a really big hurricane. Hope it isn't devastating.

They need a total of 160 billion for Harvey.

Irma may be more than that.

$8 Billion is immediate relief. Not sure Texas Legislators want more than that. More than that would be considered pork by them.

Time to forget about Tax Cuts for the wealthy. We need the revenue for disaster relief. And Hurricane Irma is on the way.

I have been there. I don't even have words for this kind of destruction.

We have friends who live on St. John, USVI. They went into their concrete shelter room before the hurricane and have not been heard from yet.

You don't see Sloppy Joe's looking like this at noon very often. Pretty spooky.
