Who called the Cavalry?

Someone must have called the Cavalry into Playa.
Darn, was just out for a walk and the "Cavalry" was out in force. Just on the corner of AV. 5 and calle 28 there were 14 or 15 Army, Policia Estatal (State Police), Policia Federale (Federal Police) and a Belgian Malinois (K-9 sort of like a German Shepherd). Walked down to Constituyentes and turned around. So between Constituyentes and calle 28 on AV. 5, I counted a total of 29 "Cavalry" consisting, again, of mostly Army troops and State Police with some Federal Police and a few of the local municipal police. I felt safe enough to have a slice of pizza at Renzo's and watch the parade of troops. I problem that I see is the concentration of "forces" in small areas and the fact that a targeted hit could happen no matter how many "police" were on AV. 5. But, it was good to see them..............I think.

I had heard the call went out to the military to come back similar to what is was at Easter. Had no idea the rest of them were on their way. Hopefully their presence will ward off the cartels or at least push it out of the tourist areas.

Really lets not kid ourselves the cartels aren't going to stop, the government wants the tourists, and the international media doesn't care what happens in Los Olivos.

Hopefully this brings a touch of stability to the tourist areas.
