It's time for college football!!

I do realize that many of you couldn't really care less about college football, but it's a big part of our family's life. I'm sitting in O'Hare airport waiting for my connection to South Bend to get ready for Saturday's season opener against Temple... lots to do to prepare the place for friends and clients coming for the weekend.
One of my kids was born while my husband was a law student at Notre Dame. Born, baptized, got accepted, and went to Boston College instead

The second- went to Notre Dame, and is the mother of our 3 month old grandson.. so blessed.

The third- a Clemson University grad!! So she's a Tiger, damn proud of it, attends a game every year..

We just love college football, all of it.

Whoever you're rooting for this year, GOOD LUCK!! And HAVE FUN!!!

Debbie, no college football is not really my thing....now the Ravens... But I hope you have a successful season!

I really want to congratulate you on a successful family though! That is something to be proud of. I wish I could boast the same.

I may not be long for this forum, it's getting tiresome. I posted that a friend of mine's son is missing, a horror I can't even imagine. Only one person commented on it even though over 200 viewed it, that is sad. Everyone's too busy either bashing or defending our President.

Anyway, I just wanted to comment to your post so you know someone is reading. Best of luck to ND! Oh and your grandson is soo cute, congrats!!!

Maybe because no one has seen him.

I LOVE college football, I live for the season and I canīt wait until this weekend. The traditions, pageantry, and camaraderie are incomparable. The NFL doesnīt even come close. Hopefully, this thread will stay alive through the season with some good old trash talk.

Good luck to the Irish and all teams this year. My team (alma mater) is Auburn and I bleed orange and blue.

Mercy, thanks for bumping this up, and sorry about your friend's son. I can't imagine the anguish, hope he is found soon.
I didn't mean to sound "proud" of my kids, I was just pointing out the differences in our college football alliances...all 3 big-time football schools, it's fun.

Dan-O - good luck to Auburn, too, except week 2 when they face the OTHER Tigers!!! We'll be playing Georgia that night - same time - so I won't be able to watch!!

You should be proud, sounds like you did a wonderful job. I kind of felt bad for NOT sounding proud of mine....I love my boys, they are just still finding their way.
