You complained to me about getting personal after this post? Hypocrisy is not an awesome trait.

A couple of points.

1. I stopped watching the NFL because the product sucks. I still check the scores, howevr, and was happy to see the Skins beat the Raiders.

2. Those who gave their lives serving our country did so to ensure our freedom. I have never heard a vet say he fought or served to guarantee "conformity."

LOL. Only if you are one of the households used in calculating the ratings. Do you understand how TV ratings are calculated?

And you specifically mentioned about how you spend your money......which watching TV does not impact at all in any significance.

So it appears that every player who took a knee or raised their fist was black. The NFL is 75% black. And ownership allows it. The NHL and NASCAR are probably 95% white. And ownership does not allow it. And this surprises who.....

Letting it slide was the only choice you had.

I still remember this fable from when I was a little kid and think it fits this situation pretty well.

A MAN and his son were once going with their Donkey to market. As they were walking along by its side a countryman passed them and said: “You fools, what is a Donkey for but to ride upon?” 1
So the Man put the Boy on the Donkey and they went on their way. But soon they passed a group of men, one of whom said: “See that lazy youngster, he lets his father walk while he rides.” 2
So the Man ordered his Boy to get off, and got on himself. But they hadn’t gone far when they passed two women, one of whom said to the other: “Shame on that lazy lout to let his poor little son trudge along.” 3
Well, the Man didn’t know what to do, but at last he took his Boy up before him on the Donkey. By this time they had come to the town, and the passers-by began to jeer and point at them. The Man stopped and asked what they were scoffing at. The men said: “Aren’t you ashamed of yourself for overloading that poor Donkey of yours—you and your hulking son?” 4
The Man and Boy got off and tried to think what to do. They thought and they thought, till at last they cut down a pole, tied the Donkey’s feet to it, and raised the pole and the Donkey to their shoulders. They went along amid the laughter of all who met them till they came to Market Bridge, when the Donkey, getting one of his feet loose, kicked out and caused the Boy to drop his end of the pole. In the struggle the Donkey fell over the bridge, and his fore-feet being tied together he was drowned. 5
“That will teach you,” said an old man who had followed them:
“PLEASE ALL, AND YOU WILL PLEASE NONE.”

I do not think your cute little story has anything to do with fighting racism in the USA, a nation that has a racist President.

I think it was Dan-O that mentioned in another thread that he prefers college football over today's NFL. I couldn't agree more. I love the passion and enthusiasm the athletes play with and although Alabama remains the perennial big dog, I think college football is more competitive among the teams. The NFL product has just dropped for me over the last 5-10 years. (Disclaimer: I am a long time suffering NY Jets fan but that does not alter my opinion since they have always sucked.)

I watched the Penn State at Iowa game on Saturday night and it would be difficult to find a better game on NFL Sunday.

You haven't. And it is laughable that a person thinks that shutting off their TV....when it likely is not even included in the ratings process....will significantly impact NFL football.

Remember that the same people who are voicing their opinions of not accepting NFL Players right to protest are the same people who have excused the numerous unacceptable behaviors of Donald Trump. The hypocrisy is evident to all except themselves.

College football attendance is declining in most cases.

Since you're just as wrong this time as you are on 70 brazillion other of your posts you might want to look up the history of Trump and the USFL versus the NFL before you start raving about facism.
