Things I have learned in the past 24 hours from Republican surrogates in the media about the sexual battery of 14 year old children.

Its much ado about very little.

It is okay if the perpetrator had never been married.

It is okay if the victim "consented."

It is okay because in the bible Mary was a teenager when she married Joseph.

If you want to pursue this last one to its logical conclusion then obviously since Mary was knocked up by God when she was a teenager, if you call Moore a child abuser you are calling God one too. I haven't heard that one yet but it has only been one day so I am sure it is coming. What interesting times we are living in. And by interesting of course I am completely insane and horrifying.

The creepy POS is done, and deservedly so. We know what he is admitting to, but what other things has he done that we don’t know about.

There was something about him that prevented me from thinking he was funny. Maybe I sensed the creep factor.

I could not believe that when I read the story, but then I considered where it is coming from and I was not so surprised. If this guy wins it will just confirm my over the top opinions of Alabama.

At least he admitted it was true instead of calling his accusers liars and blaming some absurd conspiracy theory while failing to address the substance of the allegation at all like Moore is doing. The fact is that there is already a system in place for dealing with false scandalous allegations. Its called the law of defamation. There was a time when if a prominent politician was accused of something like this he was expected to clear his name through litigation and if he didn't the adage "if he doesn't sue it must be true" held sway.

Speaking of which, remember when the tangerine toddler said he was going to sue all of his accusers for defamation in the first 100 days of his presidency? He didn't sue even one of them. If they were really all lying he would have won the suits and exposed the whole thing as a giant conspiracy like he said it was. So why didn't he then?

I don't know why but whenever I see Drew Carey I get that same feeling.

George Takei has been accused now. He is (and I am being serious here) actually trying to claim that the Russians are trying to use their facebook and Twitter bots to amplify the charges against him. It is, apparently, an attempt to silence him. After hearing an old clip of him practically admitting to grabbing guys cocks without permission, I think we can color his career (whatever was left of it) as done, too.

I hate to even give an inkling of an impression that I'm agreeing with Beerbreath (BTW- where is he? Did they finally pick him up?) But between Hollywood and Roy Moore the whole accuser thing from 30-40 years ago coming forward and the media just assuming they are telling the truth is taking on a whole Salem-like aspect to it.

Roy Moore writing in the Victim’s Yearbook is pretty damning evidence.

Townspeople where Roy Moore was DA are coming forward as well. Roy Moore’s long held secrets are being revealed. Roy Moore is a sexual offender.

Now John Travolta and George Takei ! Who is next ?
I wonder if they will starting removing "Hollywood Stars" ?

I do think Roy is guilty - but there have been many people who have had their lives ruined by false accusations. (ex Duke Lacross players) We always hear innocent until proven guilty but does that ever happen ?

I suspect way more dirt on all future elections. Tis the season !

You think writing in someone's yearbook is proof a sexual assault occurred?

When you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail. The WaPo and reporters from other Democratic media outlets are hammers. They are NOT looking to tell a story. They are looking to steal a senate seat for a Democrat who's still behind by double-digits.

Roy Moore has been in public office for about 40 years. Where were these townspeople during that time? Were they all afraid to speak out?

The RCP average for the Alabama Senate race has Moore up by 2 points this morning.

Dan-O, would it be a correct assumption that many of Moore's supporters and the other Republicans that didn't support Moore in the primary, will turn out in force to support him in the general election? If so, it would be difficult to see him not being able to win. A low Republican turnout and he is toast. I don't like Moore, I always thought he was a grandstander, so I wouldn't have supported him in the primary anyway.
