I like 'em! I dig the swing of the first one, and the guitar work on both. I remember hearing the second one before, at least, somewhere.

I guess I get that REM comparison, though I hadn't heard it and don't think I would've come up with it myself. Not sure why or that I completely agree with it.

Anyway, seems like he was both a very talented and a very likable guy...

ETA: And yes, that about the FB posts is a bit freaky!

Totally agree.....watched Gord Downie premiere of A Secret Path on Sunday !
It was powerful !!! The way he tells the story and The emotion in his voice you can feel the pain.

This Sunday night on cbc the Hips final concert Long Time Running ! If you haven't seen it, it's a ripper for sure

Long Time Running is the documentary about the tour, not the final concert.
