If my calculations are correct, you will have 8 BBQ's in by time we get there.
You will be a well oiled machine by then.

T 4

Its crazy how Cancun and Playa have grown. When I first landed in Cancun 25 years ago ( maybe 30 ) the airport was serviced by mules and a wagon to get your bags from the plane to the airport.
Now T 4 is complete.....how time flies..............::

Terminal 4 opened its doors to the public

They open to the general public Terminal 4 of the International Airport of Cancun, which will be officially inaugurated next Tuesday.
The new terminal that was built with an investment of more than three billion pesos, will serve to increase up to nine million more the total number of passengers received per year in this tourist destination.
From 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. yesterday, Terminal 4 of the Cancun International Airport was open to the general public, to know its facilities.
The new air terminal covers a total construction of more than 68 thousand square meters and houses 92 counters for passenger documentation, 51 self-documentation electronic kiosks, 12 boarding gates, 13 baggage claim bands, 10 security filters, 34 security filters, National Institute of Migration (INM) and 9 Customs filters.
This new terminal had an investment of 3 thousand 412 million pesos and with its construction the Cancun International Airport will increase up to 9 million more the flow of passengers per year.
The airport of Cancun is located as well as the third most important airport in Latin America, after the airport of Mexico City and Sao Paulo in Brazil; but in terms of the number of passengers handled annually, it is the most important in Latin America.
Yesterday during the tour scheduled for the general public, media and tour operators, it was found that the new air terminal is now ready to start operations.
The manager of public relations and media of the group Aeropuertos del Sureste (Asur), Eduardo Rivadeneyra, said that the inauguration of the new terminal will be next Tuesday, with the presence of the President of the Republic, Enrique Peña Nieto.
With the new air terminal, Cancún International Airport directly employs 22 thousand people, while indirectly offers five thousand more jobs.

I read that T4 will handle both domestic and international flights. I didn’t read if int’l flights only from specific countries would use that terminal or isn’t that yet known?

Yeah, exactly — that you can wheel all the way outside to where you need to be, without anyone saying boo to you! Just say a big fat no to T2. It's enough to make me want to avoid Southwest, even when they have cheaper fares and/or better service.

Why ASUR continues to hold such glaringly contradictory policies on that between different terminals of the same airport, I don't know, but I sure hope T4 is like T3!

This TripADvisor thread has a list of airlines that will use T4. I don't know the source of the info so can't comment on the accuracy. Another person has added Air Canada.
