Which, again, had nothing to do with BC's point.

That town is what, 600 people? When I usher at church I always sit by the back door main entrance. After church shootings like this when I'm ushering I'm always wondering if I should get my CCP.

Let me ask a stupid question; do gun owners usually not pack their pistol for church services? I would understand why they wouldn't bring a weapon into a house of worship but just curious of that was the norm. My guess is it may become the norm for more people going forward.

My husband was wondering the same thing, about states where you can carry. I would think we would all hope that you wouldn't need a gun in a CHURCH. It's just awful to even think about it.

It's so sad to me that there are so many evil/mentally deranged people in this world.

I won't use the words "mentally ill", here; there are lots of people with various kinds of mental illness who would never commit heinous acts such as these.

So depressing.

I have no idea. I'm just guessing that if anyone is carrying in church they're not going to let anyone know it. I wouldn't.

Could you please provide a link that shows that "a lot" of terrorists are born in this country.

Thanks.

Let's see, there's been box cutters, knives, hatchets, swords, bombs, trucks, guns.........

But, barriers would have stopped this guy, huh?

Are you serious, or just yanking people's chains? No one can be that naive.

Period.

Speaking of naive, you advocate the "complete extermination of the terrorists". That is your solution? How do we do that? Right after we solve racism and poverty? Come on, we need some immediate solutions to help stop more of these incidents.
I'm late to this party, but BC is spot on about the barriers. Sogno is the one being naïve.

Installing barriers to minimize deaths and injuries and opportunity in case of future attacks is a natural response-one that if they DID not do, would be worth of criticism. The notion that anyone would criticize them DOING it is mystifying.
