We will be there Monday but firing up the BBQ will have to wait. We'll be busy enough without putting additional tasks on the agenda.

BTW did you notice the following Monday is Christmas Day. Haven't decided what to do about that yet. But I see a turkey dinner in my future.

We have been hitting beaches since we arrived in Barbados and yesterday we went to the Oistin's area on the south coast. Somehow we missed Worthing Beach on previous drive by. This is a great beach that is protected by coral reefs so the waves are cut down considerably. Two restaurants/bars and great sand. A studio, on the beach, in the building to the left of the jetty is only $2500us/mo. If we came back we would find a place in this area.

Barbados has pegged its dollar to the US dollar so everything here is very expensive. Groceries are atrocious and eating out for the simplest of meals requires $50cdn. for the two of us. Two tomatoes were $5.cdn. The 8.5 oz Deputy beer is near $1.70cdn out of the store and the rum is reasonable.

But the people are very friendly and the climate is perfect. Almost no bugs. See ya all real soon.

Thin, you bet! Can't afford to eat on this island. A cooked roasting chicken is $19cdn. We need to make that last a week!!! A piece of chicken from KFC is $4cdn. If I ever come back I'll need to pack a suitcase full of groceries. But it has been a good time and packing to leave is kinda sad. See you Monday if not before.
