Recommendations for shared transport

Can anyone recommend a shared transport service to/from the airport? I'm staying around Calle 42, and I'd rather not go the ADO & taxi route. I've used Super Shuttle in the US, but not in Mexico. Thanks!!

I just used Canada Transfers and they were great! That was to the Puerto Juarez ferry pier (to Isla Mujeres) though, but they of course go south too.

I have also used USA Transfers and Best Day- both of those were good too, but I have read a few more negative things about the latter.

We always use Canada Transfers. They are awesome and we have never had a problem. Highly recommend!

Is there a reason to hire transfer service in advance from the airport? I've never had a problem finding a cab or transfer service right there on the spot. The price has been close enough (sometimes much cheaper if you find people in line staying near you to share with! ) Transfer services can be late when flights are early/late... but the taxis and other services are always there ready to go.

I echo thumbs up for Canada Transfers. Been using them for years. Like to book them in advance and no they are waiting right outside the door. No fuss...no mess.

I have used Best Day Transfers many times for the airport to Playa run. A shared van is usually about $26USD/person. The last two times that I have used them, it cost me about $17 (low season pricing?) for the airport to Playa run. On one of my recent $17 runs, I was the only passenger in the shared van .
BTW, the wait time at the airport for me has been 10 minutes or less.
Also, I book online @ https://www.bestday.com/Transfers/Cancun/
And, FYI, Best Day is starting up a division in this area to go head-to-head with AirBnB.

Canada Transfers is always waiting for us outside the terminal, no matter if our flight is early or late. We always book and pay online - they have all our flight info and monitor the flights, so it doesn't matter if you're early or late, they are always there waiting for you. No fuss - no muss!!

Out of curiosity, I just did a comparison of Best Day Transfers vs. Canada Transfers using One Way (Cancun Airport to the Grand Hyatt, Playa) on December 21st. ............
The results:
Best Day Transfers:Shared Van, 1 person, taxes and fees included $16usd;
Private Van with wi-fi, 1-9 people, taxes included, $57usd

Canada Transfers: Private Regular Vehicle, 1-3 people, before taxes, $50usd
Private Van, 8-10 people, $83usd, taxes included

Or just take the ADO bus with wi-fi for about $10usd, taxes included

I'm on vacation- I'm not taking the bus!

For larger groups, private transfers are the way to go. For one person or two, savings of taking ADO might be more worth it.

this past trip it was lovely to be greeted right outside Terminal 4 with a smile and luggage assistance, cold cloths and a cold Bohemia for each of us, and even our ferry tickets bought for all four of us. And to be able to pay in CAD cash was a nice touch, too- although we all had pesos of course too.

For one person, a Best Day private shared van delivering you right to your hotel from the airport at $16 vs. $10 on the ADO, how does the ADO make it "worth it"
Especially, when you might have to add the cost of a taxi from the bus station to your hotel plus the $10 ADO ticket!

Maybe he lives in the bus station?

But be cautious there, fairly recent signage at the ADO bus station (Cancun also) warning customers to BEWARE OF PICKPOCKETS.
It can happen to anyone. Recently travel writer Rick Steves was pickpocketed in Paris!

well, my last trip we walked from the bus station to La Pasion...

8 people in a shared van versus a couple taking the ADO from CUN- PDC....means the savings if you are just one or two people might be worth it over taking the transfer.

This is complicated logic?

Thanks, all! My husband and I usually use Canada Transfers, but since I'll be solo I figured I didn't need the chilled towels and cold beers...maybe 😊 I'll check out Best Day

We are starting our trip on Isla Mujeres, so I mentioned to my wife that maybe when we arrive we would just take the ADO then taxi to Puerto Juarez or shared transfer. She looked at me with that "no" look. Canada Transfers is now booked.....cerveza and all.
