Kitchen Contractors

Dear all,

The property that I purchased last Feb in the new Real Amalfi community is finally ready and I'll be down in Playa on Sunday for five weeks (Jan 28-Mar 2) to get it ready. I work in the US, and can only stay down during the month of February.

I've reviewed the forum and have taken note of several prior recommendations:

1. Cocinas Integrales LBC - Seems to be the most economical and overall best company. I'm in touch with Raul, but they have so much work right now that they wouldn't be able to install a kitchen until mid-April.

2. Carpinteria Polanco - Is this the company on Fbook? https://www.facebook.com/pg/carpinteriapolan/posts/?ref=page_internal

3. Casona - This seems to be more on the higher end side and more interior design. I didn't see anything about kitchens on their website.

4. Carpinteria Madera y Vida - Facebook group. Looks good, although it might be higher end products. Has anyone worked with them before?

In addition to those listed above, does anyone have other companies (similar to Cocinas Integrales LBC) that might be able to install a kitchen during the month of Feb?

In advance, I greatly appreciate your help!

Best,
Steve

I love Raul from Cocinas Integrales LBC. With Raul its definitely under promise and over deliver. When we got our kitchen, new closets, and new bathroom vanities from him last year he said several times I can't make you're timeline with the options you have chose.

We made alternate choices but a few days later he came back and said the is pulling in some help and would be able you make our timeline with all the options we chose. (Awesome) We did the gut on our kitchen, closets, and vanities to help the process along.

There was a couple things that needed a quick trip back for (forgot the locks in the upper owners cupboards) It got forgotten on the invoice so the installers didn't know it was being done and the hole cut through the stone for our faucets was a bit too small. But his team came back the next day and took great care of me.

Since then I even have gone back and got all my night tables made by Raul and we even had an corner where we just needed a basic table a quick trip to Raul and a quick sketch on paper and some dimensions and he was set to go.

I understand he's busy but you might get bumped up if he has a job cancel or something. I can't say enough nice things about Raul and his team.

It's also too bad I wanted to give him a call next week I needed some really basic headboards for a couple beds built.

Now you can purchase pre-fab wood stuff from Home depot you'd need to stain it yourself (or have someone do it for you) That stuff is in stock all the time... Also you can order in pre-fab MDF stuff from Home depot as well.

It's ok stuff but comparing that to all the neat one off things Raul can do for you they don't even compare. In my corner cupboard I had it also open on the backside as well so the front is frying pans and stuff on the back side its my liquor cabinet. It's the little stuff like that which makes the wait worth it to work with some really good talent.

Might be an excuse to come back to PDC for another week later in the spring

Thanks for all of the information, Teebee! I'm in Playa and heading to Cocinas Integrales LBC this morning to speak to Raul and to see if we might be able to bump up the timeline.

Best,
Steve
