Stupid question

James, first of all I think this is a great board and you're doing a fantastic job.

Now for my stupid question: where are you hiding the smilies? When I reply to a post in other BBs there's always a quick reference to certain smilies available to insert right away. I know there are some in:http://www.playadelcarmeninfo.com/playa-forum/smilies/

but can't figure out how to get at them.

I know how to get them from using the 'properties' feature after right-clicking on an existing smilie but wonder if there's a faster method.

Where'd you get that smilie drinking the beer at the end of your post? I've never seen it in here in Playa Info.....

Karen, in the smilies block at the very bottom you should see [more]. Click on that link and you will find that smilie and a bunch more.

They appear in a block on the right side of the reply message block. You need to use the "Go Advanced" reply mode to see them. If you are using the "Post Quick Reply" message block they are not visible.

Oops! :o I thought you were referring to the smilie chugging the glass of beer. Now I see what you were asking. No that smilie is not on PlayaInfo. Looks like Gerald linked to the smilie from one of the many smilie sites that are available on the internet. I do the same thing myself at times. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks all, guess I never used the 'Advanced Reply' before. I was able to find the link by searching on smilies but figured there had to be a faster way.

You're right about the smilie I had at the end of my post, I find smilies on other web-sites and then right-click on them and look up the properties of that gif and copy it into a post on any BB and it always references back to where I found it. Such as these:

Anyone can do the same with the ones I've posted here.

Those are a riot, Gerald!! I'll try to "find" them too. Andrea (Andiline) had some great ones, but when I went to the site they took me to, everything was in German!!

I think we need some more smilies. Sure, anyone can insert an image tag, but it's easier for most users if I have them installed here locally. You've inspired me to grab some more. It's a matter of me spending time looking around, finding some cool ones, grabbing them, then uploading them and naming them. I've got some more coffee, so I'll go for it.

OK, I've added the ones from Gerald and a few new ones!

James, most of the ones I found were in Germany. If you want I can send you the links to them but seeing the list you've just compiled I think that'll keep most people smiling for a while. I may throw some new ones in once in a while and if you like it just add it to your list.

Send James a PM and ask nicely...Then Apologize for not doing a search on something in the past or future...Put one of his new smilies in it...And say something nice about him being a new dad...That should get it changed
