I don't. Not really.

If you can find me a TRADITIONAL Republican and put them on the ticket... Someone who believes in smaller government, adhering to the constitution, responsibility and accountability in governance, someone who is OBSESSIVE about fiscal responsibility, and someone who is NOT beholden to the religious right, I would be VERY tempted to vote for them.

Someone like Eisenhower, for example. He was EXTREMELY concerned about the power of this nation's military. As an experienced combat general, I would trust someone like him to ONLY go to war when ABSOLUTELY necessary as a LAST option and ONLY for purposes of national defense.

I may very likely vote for this type of Republican even if they did NOT support some of the "social" issues I support: woman's right to choose, gay rights, etc.

Someone like Colin Powell comes to mind, but he lost too much credibility with his speech in front of the U.N.
