Just a Drinking Trip - Day 5

Day 5 - Departure Day

Up at 6:00 or so, plane leaves at 10:00, so I got a few minutes before I have to convince LILG it's time to leave... time enough to grab a smoke

and cuss myself again

for not buying any ground coffee

. Wake LILG up and start packing... didn't take long and we're ready to go... :ponder: didn't even get a "I dont wanna go" tantrum out of LILG this time. We bumped our luggage thru the street and by 7:00 we we're in the car and cruisin.... went uo Juarez, took a right on the highway and then we noticed a bunch of locals standing on the side of the road... a guy on a motorcycle just got hammered by a truck or something, just past the intersection... somebody had just covered the guy up with a blanket... bllod everywhere ,it wasn't a pretty site... kinda dazed, I kept picturing 4 small children waiting in front of their house for Dad to come home... major buzz-kill... needless to say, it was a slow drive to Cancun in the right hand lane this morning.
By the time we got our boarding passes and got to the gate, we still had 42 minutes to kill.... so, loaded up on Duty Free smokes, Centenario, and Absolut

..and then... it's off to the bar for Centenario shots and coffee & Baileys...

$50 later and we jump on the plane to head back to Texas.
Grabbed our luggage and cleared customs in good time... quick cab ride to the hotel and then we're in the truck headin to back to San Marcos... reality is almost unavoidable at this point... we'll be home in 3 hours... oh well, it was another awesome trip, even though it was just 5 days... saw some old friends, made some new friends... but most importantly we stayed focused and accomplished our mission of a "Just a Drinking Trip".
Get to the outskirts of Houston around 2:00, so being kinda hungry, I exit for a nearby Chilis. Grab a table at the bar, light a smoke, and the cute lil bartender strolls over and in her best Texas accent drawls:
"Kin I git yaaaaawwll sometin to draaank"
"Well, since I just flew in from Mexico a few minutes ago, why don't you bring me one of your "house" margaritas"
She smiles and with a wink says:
"Why don't I just put a lil Tuaca in there for you.... make it taste just a lil bit better !!!"

........Now, Ya'll didn't think this trip was gonna end ???...did you??? :p

Tex, hang in there for +/- 13 weeks and we'll be back down there... but that will actually be for a vacation ... it kinda sounds like we are gonna get suckered into taking McKinzie on a cenote tour ... except this time HE buys the beer !!!

Kinz,whats he trying to say??? he has mentioned this beer thing many times over a 5 day drinking report....by the way it was

"Just a drinking trip" right....it doesnt matter who buys Scott it only matters if you have pics of Kinz to use against him at a later time...

Man, it got pretty hairy around here last nite.
The neighborhood looks like a typhoon came through.

I have plenty of pics that I hadn't got around to loading in the gallery yet.

Remember the modelo is on me in September.

It kinda turned into a drinking trip after all
