Got some pictures from our friend Lynn, of recent work on our house at Sacbe. A friend of Lynn's, Nehemias, is doing some finish carpentry work for us, so when we get there next time we won't be dealing with bugs. He'll be screening in all the windows, building wooden doors and putting a net over the grass roof to protect it in high winds. I can do carpentry with straight wood but he is amazing fitting all the natural wood together. The first photo shows how things look from the outside looking towards the downstairs doorway.

I have only spoken with Nehemias a few times but my impression is that he is very talented and honest. I'd highly recommend him to anyone, if you can get him. He's in pretty heavy demand at Sacbe, we had to get in a line and wait. If I can, I'll get Lynn to post his picture here with his work. He also did all the work at her palapa as well as a lot of work at Cam's place-another neighbor at Sacbe. We're thrilled with the work, can't wait to get back in January. Thanks for the photo's Lynn.
