We just got back yesterday. Wow! What an adventure!! We left the house at the around 6:30 a.m. After a few minor set backs we (My husband Chip, my mom Clarice, and me Leah) finally make it to the airport. Our flight leaves at 8:40 a.m. and the we connect in Houston. We make it to Cancun at around 2:30 p.m. The bus drivers reminded me of las Vegas drivers, Crazy! Our hotel was really nice, we liked it and met alot of cool people. We were greeted with champagne and check in was easy. Our room was facing the pool, my mom got an ocean view. Oh Well, we werent there much anyways.. When we first arrived we were straving, so we went to the buffet Miramar. It was pretty good, they had alot of variety. After dinner, we went for a swim in the ocean, it being my first time, it was AMAZING!! Also arriving was Joe, Linea, and Madison from Tennessee. Very great people. Mark and Lori from Kansas. We had an awesome time. We went to the disco above the buffet, it was alot of fun, we drank too much..
The next morning of course we were hungover and mom was ready to go. Chip couldnt even move...so i went to the beach for a morning swim. We went into town for lunch and shopped. Kinda crazy how expensive 5th street was..we finished that night getting our hair braided. Everything was so much different than i imagined and its a really great place. We already decided to go to Xcaret and swim with the dolphins. Swimming in the underground river was so amazing!!! Very beautiful!!! We took some pictures laying in the hammocks which was so comfortable...good thing we got 3..
Our dolphin swim was really cool. We got to pet them, make them do a trick and other things. It was expensive but to us totally worth, we only get one vacation a year and its good memories!!! The rest of the day was really fun, we snorkled in the ocean, held parrots, and saw alot of beautiful animals. We came back to the hotel early, we wanted to go to 5th street. We got a taxi to Carlos and Charlies and eventually ended up at Senor Frogs. We wanted to look further but we spent all our money on realy cool souvenirs!!!
