Yea, RAM, best tread softly. Us cat fanciers can be pretty ruthless when aroused, and we have long memories. We have two fur people who have been very good about letting us live in their house for many years now. I think they've become quite attached to us, and think of is more as family, rather than just pets.
(Bad Joke Warning!!! How do you make a dog sound like a cat? Freeze them solid, then run them through a meat saw...M-E-E-E-O-O-O-O-W-W-W!! How do you make a cat sound like a dog? Soak them in gasoline, then throw a match at them...W-O-O-O-F-F-F!! Okay, okay, animal lovers...just kidding!) |

bumper I wish I could remember the name, my friend brought a bottle over a couple of years ago, and I brought back several when I was there a year ago Christmas.
It is a single malt from one of the Islands, with a smokey flavor to it. I would look on one of the bottles but unfortunately the developed leaks and all whre empty and disposed of in accordance with EPA regulations. Something like Isley... |

Could have been one of a number of single malts from the Isle of Islay, off the West coast of Scotland. They're renowned for their smokey peatiness. Best known is probably Laphroaig, or Lagavulin. They're too peaty for my taste. Like sucking booze out of a well-used ashtray. My taste runs more to the somewhat lighter Highland Scotches, like Dalwhinnie, Macallan, Singleton, Balvenie, Dalmore, Glenkinchie, Glenmorangie, Strathisla, and my personal favourite - Cardhu. YUMM! These'll put a tilt in your kilt!! |

Reminds me of a greeting card I just mailed today to a friend: Front of card is photo of a brown Persian with that perpetually pissed off look on its face. Beneath the photo it said: "There are two kinds of people in this world......" Inside it said: "Cat People and Morons" Made me laugh out loud in the supermarket. I had no choice but to buy it and mail it to someone. :p |

That's the place Bump. Don't remember the brand, but it has just a hint of the smoke. But like I said the bottles kept developing leaks......
We did a tour through one of the distilleries, watched the process and then went to the tasting and sales room. Amazing what age and cask selection can do to the price. They had a brew-master's choice single barrel at 699 BPS a litter. B@st@rds wouldn't let us have a taste of that one. |

), keep an eye out for Alberta Springs Sippin' Whiskey. On the rocks, either straight up or with just a touch of water, Yummm! My every day drinking whiskey from this side of the border is Canadian Club. Tasty with ginger ale.

The Lovely Lady Lawyer aka TLLL
Squish and Bumper (and all those lurkin' around),
Squish, I shall pass along your message and suggestion to TLLLL. I'm sure she will be flattered and Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee. Yep, I'm prejudiced and admit it. She also believes in and is dedicated to the proposition that Canadian whiskey is the ONLY way to go. There was one slight deviation during our last visit and that involved her imbibing copious amounts of Demon Rum while on the Fat Cat. The result was , but she did so with class and aplomb.Bump, I really enjoyed your MC story and have saved it for future use.
