Yea, RAM, best tread softly. Us cat fanciers can be pretty ruthless when aroused, and we have long memories. We have two fur people who have been very good about letting us live in their house for many years now. I think they've become quite attached to us, and think of is more as family, rather than just pets.

(Bad Joke Warning!!! How do you make a dog sound like a cat? Freeze them solid, then run them through a meat saw...M-E-E-E-O-O-O-O-W-W-W!! How do you make a cat sound like a dog? Soak them in gasoline, then throw a match at them...W-O-O-O-F-F-F!! Okay, okay, animal lovers...just kidding!)

bumper I wish I could remember the name, my friend brought a bottle over a couple of years ago, and I brought back several when I was there a year ago Christmas.

It is a single malt from one of the Islands, with a smokey flavor to it. I would look on one of the bottles but unfortunately the developed leaks and all whre empty and disposed of in accordance with EPA regulations.

Something like Isley...

Crit;

Could have been one of a number of single malts from the Isle of Islay, off the West coast of Scotland. They're renowned for their smokey peatiness. Best known is probably Laphroaig, or Lagavulin. They're too peaty for my taste. Like sucking booze out of a well-used ashtray. My taste runs more to the somewhat lighter Highland Scotches, like Dalwhinnie, Macallan, Singleton, Balvenie, Dalmore, Glenkinchie, Glenmorangie, Strathisla, and my personal favourite - Cardhu. YUMM! These'll put a tilt in your kilt!!

Reminds me of a greeting card I just mailed today to a friend:

Front of card is photo of a brown Persian with that perpetually pissed off look on its face.

Beneath the photo it said: "There are two kinds of people in this world......"

Inside it said: "Cat People and Morons"

Made me laugh out loud in the supermarket. I had no choice but to buy it and mail it to someone. :p

Well of COURSE they are....

Similar to those from the Isle of Falklands (Malvinas) perhaps?
...known for their dusty sheepiness?....

Just talking about single malt Scotch Whiskey, Cuff, me old son. Nectar of the Gods. Heaven on earth. Ambrosia. It would appear your otherwise impressive field of encyclopaedic knowledge has been sorely neglected in this critical area. We'll have to see what sort of remedial action might be possible to address this tragic shortcoming.

Yes, Ma'am, point well taken. As a matter of fact, Kitty is incredibly spoiled and loved. If you desire proof, please contact me via e-mail and I'll send you some pictures to support my position.

That's the place Bump. Don't remember the brand, but it has just a hint of the smoke. But like I said the bottles kept developing leaks......

We did a tour through one of the distilleries, watched the process and then went to the tasting and sales room. Amazing what age and cask selection can do to the price. They had a brew-master's choice single barrel at 699 BPS a litter. B@st@rds wouldn't let us have a taste of that one.

Hola Ram!
Congratulations on your 'membership'! Now that you are an official member see how many people are talkin' to ya?
With regards to The Lovely Lady Lawyer, I think we should grant her membership too! I mean, this forum could seriously use more extolling Canadian Hooch Imbibers!!

This drew groans and appreciative laughter. When the speaker came to the dias, he replied, "No, she would be called a Bare-asster." That brought the place down. I spoke to him later and complimented him on his witty retort. He reassured me the reply had been an ad-lib. Clever fellow. If he could indeed think that effectively on his feet, I think I want him on my side in any litigation I undertake.

It would indeed, not that you need them. You're pretty much at the top of your class already. If you want a real Canadian treat (Besides me, of course! ), keep an eye out for Alberta Springs Sippin' Whiskey. On the rocks, either straight up or with just a touch of water, Yummm! My every day drinking whiskey from this side of the border is Canadian Club. Tasty with ginger ale.

The Lovely Lady Lawyer aka TLLL

Squish and Bumper (and all those lurkin' around),
Squish, I shall pass along your message and suggestion to TLLLL. I'm sure she will be flattered and She is the family member that spends time in her office doing real lawyer stuff , while I spend time working on perfecting my communications ability by reading the erudite posts on the Forum. By way of further information (albeit unsolicited, but it's comin' your way anyway), TLLL is America's best looking Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee. Yep, I'm prejudiced and admit it. She also believes in and is dedicated to the proposition that Canadian whiskey is the ONLY way to go. There was one slight deviation during our last visit and that involved her imbibing copious amounts of Demon Rum while on the Fat Cat. The result was , but she did so with class and aplomb.
Bump, I really enjoyed your MC story and have saved it for future use.

Not exactly correct RAM, you need to search for Bumper's infamous Tequila trial review !!! But FYI, them Canucks talk pretty big about their drinking prowess, but we just sent one of em packin back to O Glorious Canada to practice a little bit more before she crosses the Red River again... seems like her name started with an "S" er somthin like that
