I have two remedies: Go over to Babes and get a half plate of Swedish meatballs. This comes with the best mashers. Get this dish plus an ice cold Cocacola.
If you are not up to this type of comfort food, then go to 12th street and 10th ave. By Bancomer, there is a VW bus stand called Senor Tacombi. They serve an array of tacos and Coca-cola in a bottle. When, I have been over-served the night before, I go to Babes or there and order four barbacoa tacos and a Coke. Barbacoa is steamed roast beef. It is prepared with salt and pepper....and very tender. Dump the hottest salsa you can handle...for me it is Chipotle and tomatillo blended together. AHHHHHH oh what a relief it is!!
Another option is to go to HC Monterrey or Carboncitos and order their arrachera plate. My favorite is HC BUT!!! Carboncitos serves beer in an iced mug. This will depend on what you want...for me it depends on how far you want to walk. I went to HC one time, picked the arrachera nacional plate and beer. It was great until a musician started singing. I thought I would go ballistic. Carboncitos does not have singers.
