Terrifyingly true Denise, mostly. But it's a dry cold. Yeah...right!

And Tommy, based on how warm it's not today...it may not be long before the hometown heros bring home the hardware. Mind you, they looked pretty ordinary in their exhibition game last night. Won't be long till the regular season gets under way. GO!! Big Blue!!

Hey, Bump....

Though NOT a Blue Bomber, ever heard of a Gentleman and A Tiger by the name of Garney Henley?

Oh...and my old College FB coach (recruited me in the late 70's) won a Grey Cup with the Rough Riders in '89...We called him "Diesel"...John Gregory....Wish I could have followed him up there after my college career (LOVE the "type" of offensive play calling in the Canadian game - especially as a Halfback coming out of the backfield catching a few quick "flairs")...

But I seem to have left some knee ligaments on a field somewhere, 3 in fact, and as I found out, those things are awfully important to bipeds....

Garney Henley was a truly fine ball player, in an era when you had to be tough to play ball. John Gregory is a fine coach to. You have interesting friends.

A lot of players out of the US appreciate the more free wheeling style of the Canadian game. I don't think anyone denies that the players in the NFL are the best there are at what they do, but I think you have go a long way to beat the offensive excitement in the CFL. Three downs and more acreage will do that for you.

I never went to college, but I did get to play some junior ball. My high school didn't have a football team. Played both ways in the trenches. Makin' holes for backs (I liked that best!) and knockin' people down. I know what you mean about knees, Cuff, mine don't work so very good anymore either. I guess ligaments are only important if you want to walk. I've been accused of going into the line a few too many times without a helmet, but I think all this emphasis on traumatic brain damage and concussions is way overrated.

At this temperature, life in Mexico city would be non-existent. Except for those guys that usually go skiing and have the appropiate garmets, the rest of us will die, nobody has enough blankets at home (heating is not common here).

I have a question, What temperature you set your thermostates to at home?
This days in Mexico city the lowest temperature outside has been +6C but inside my house is +13 and we are freezing. Brrrrrr!

It's so cold outside here that we like it very warm inside. We keep our house between 20 and 22 degrees celcius (68-72 F), which is about average for this part of the world I think.

A Manitoban Winter...

Here on the prairies, our thermostat is set at 22 degrees, block heater on the car is hummin' and life still moves when it's -45. School buses stop running when it hits -50 (that's happened twice this winter so far) and little people have indoor recess when it dips beyond -28.

Sounds like paradise, doesn't it?

Thanks guys, seems that comfort temp for humans is exactly 22, as that is the temperature I had to set the A/C when I was in Merida to be able to sleep comfy.
