check out free agent by forte (software package for newsgroup readers) at forte dot com - this is free Read the help file on this site for more info. This is not peer to peer so it is not like Napster or itunes/Kaaza etc. It is newsgroups - you got to like this sort of thing to really get in to it. Last edited by TAPPY; 07-07-2004 at 06:48 PM. |

Remember everyone, if you find an iPod mini in the store (and it's not gold) then buy it. We need two of them down here.
We'll find someone coming down to carry them and we're good for the money. Once you buy them, please post here so we can call off the dogs. |

edit: P2P programs (like eMule) can be used to download things like entire albums and movies. if you don't own a license to the material, downloading the file is in violation of copyright laws. it is considered piracy.

Okay for all you users out there....here is the deal...
My hard drive crashed with about 1200 songs on it as well as around 1000 pictures... so now I want to download to an ipod....Do I save the tracks to my new hard drive and then just transfer them to the Ipod? I dont have an ipod yet but am wondering how easy this is....Also I looked at zeropaid and they have several different share programs, which is the best.... My next question is how long does it take to transfer songs to the Ipod? Can I put say 20-30 cds on the ipod in a short time? How do you rate the headphones that come with the Ipod...Do you recommend an upgrade and if so which ones have you found to have a pure sound? Thanks! |

tommy, quick-like go buy an external USB or firewire hard drive (at least 120 gigs) and bring it down with you. I'll hook you with more music than you can handle.
Backup, backup, backup!!!! If you don't back it up, you don't have it to begin with. |

Apple announced a fourth gen iPod. 20 gig for 300 bills. 40 gig for 400 bills. Smaller, longer battery life, etc.
