Speaking of earphones...
I just treated myself to a pair of these guys:

I found them for around $225 online, which is way more than I wanted to spend! Luckily, I received a VISA gift card at work, and it eased the pain a bit. I had read great reviews, but was still a bit skeptical. Not anymore!! These are awesome. They are better than any noise-canceling earphones I've ever heard, and the sound clarity is great. I'm no audiophile, but I can definitely tell the difference compared to the earphones I had before (especially the apple earbuds). Looks like they're coming out with a model 'specific' to the ipod too: http://www.etymotic.com/aer/pr04-er6i.asp
