rain, rain and more rain

I don't want to put a damper on people that will be arriving the next few days to cancun and playa but the forecast is rain and more rain, they were telling us that its hurricane season already and the storm is coming from the pacific. It rained all day yesterday and I have never seen so much rain in one day.

Go shopping, go have a cocktail, do more shopping, have another cocktail, take a nap, play cards, go chat with some strangers and make some new friends and have another cocktail.

Make the best of it!!!!!!

BTW.... when we were there for a Sat.-Sat. stay, on Wednesday a couple of other resort guests told us that the storm that had wreaked such havoc over the Dominican Republic was headed our way and that by Friday, we were "really going to be in for it".

I was momentarily totally bummed out, cuz that was our day to do the Fat Cat sailing trip. But then I thought......hmmmmmm, some people just love to spread bad news.......

Know what?? We didn't have a drop of rain ALL week, even Saturday afternoon when we flew home.

Don't let the weather dictate whether or not you have fun. If you make the decision to have fun and take some initiative, you WILL have fun! So go do it!

Well we made in back home on Saturday afternoon with all that rain, our flight was an hour delay, the airport was jammed because other flights were delayed as well. After we landed at home our flight attendent announced that we were lucky we took off when we did because 10 mins later the airport was shout down. Is it still pouring there?? We did have a grand time at Secrets the whole week was beautiful except for that Friday.

It's all how you look at it...

And my last day in Playa found my group praying for heavy rain so we wouldn't have to leave....
Glad you had a good trip.

Is there an "official" rainy season there? We head down in late July. Any warnings I should be aware of?

We flew back last Saturday as well. We were on the tarmack when they announced the delay (8 planes were waiting to take off in front of us). I was hoping we'd get stuck too. We could have had a fun night in Cancun!
